Premature Evacuation Friday, Aug 29 2008

Well folks, here it is. You live in NOLA, you deal with all them hurricanes.

A small price to pay to live in the greatest city in the world.

For all those who don’t know, THE TIKI BAR IS CLOSED! The Nutshack is on Defcon 4: Hunker Down.

The most brilliant thing about this storm: It’s called Gustavo.
If you are at all related or know the Credo family, Gustavo has a happy place in our hearts, which means (karma wise, if you believe in it, which I really don’t), Gustavo will spare the Choc-o-let City.

….But you can call me GUS!

You know what, I’ll be blogging during the storm. If you don’t know what it’s like to be around a Nawlins hurricane, tune in.

Prayer To Our Lady Of Prompt Succor
O, Mary, Mother of God, who,
amidst the tribulations of the world,
watches over us and over the Church of your Son,
be to us and to the Church truly Our Lady of Prompt Succor,
make haste to help us in all our necessities,
that in this fleeting life you may be our succor,
and obtain for us

Keep us all away from Gustavo and all natural disasters.

Help us to gain life everlasting through the merits of Jesus,
your Son, our Lord and Redeemer.

Amen.

Simply the best… Tuesday, Aug 19 2008

A lot of people have asked me what I think the greatest song ever recorded is. On many days out of the year, the above song will get my vote.

This will be the song that plays when you die and the Almighty decides to let you in the pearly gates. When you get to meet your family and loved ones again, ….this is the song you will hear.

And you can remember Mr. Credo told ya so.

The video above is one of the best depictions that I’ve seen for this song. The video is equally as powerful, from a fantastic movie. It shows to me that, while the world is full of problems and crap, there is still something beyond what we are. There are BIGGER things out there than humanity’s stupidity.

I don’t know many songs that can ever top this one. Neither do you.

Ringo makes a piece of toast Thursday, Aug 14 2008

Who’s Making Love To Your Old Lady Thursday, Aug 14 2008

John Belushi at his best.
A true comedian and a true blues purist. There is nothing funny about this song or this band…amazing stuff!

Motherless Child Thursday, Aug 14 2008

I just love this song. It always makes me dance…fantastic arrangement.
It’s hard to believe this version is 14 years old.

With A Little Help from my Friends Tuesday, Aug 5 2008

The 2008 New Orleans Beatles Festival.
Quite simply one of the best nights, ever.

To perform the BEST songs ever written in Rock N Roll, with some of the greatest TALENT found in New Orleans, to a crowd that knows and loves every word and note….and loves you for playing it to them.

It’s the closest I’ll ever get to being a Beatle. And I love every second of it.

Over 700 people packed the HOB on Saturday night for the festival. I want to especially thank our special guests this year: Beatin Path, Jim Lockwood, Rockin Dopsie Jr, Bill Davis of Dash Rip Rock, Jimmy Robinson of Twangorama, Fred Leblanc of Cowboy Mouth, and The Bucktown Allstars Brass section.

A magical evening…a night those of us who performed will never forget.

Pictures coming soon, and hopefully some audio tracks too.
LET THE COUNTDOWN TO BEATLES FEST 2009 BEGIN!

YEAH!
YEAH!
YEAH!
