On my recent trips to the mall, I’ve overheard the joyous sounds of Christmas:
“…NOW GET BACK HEAR BEFORE I SLAP THE BLACK OFF OF YA!” ~Black mother to her child running away from her.
“Ipod? Call it the NOpods” ~Woman next to me at Best Buy
“Do I need to buy strings for my guitar hero” ~someone you probably know who I won’t mention as she is on facebook
“10 ITEMS OR LESS, STAND ASIDE MOTH*%(#(” ~Target WORKER
“You think this Chinese Food is real?” ~Woman talking to me from another line while I’m in an Italian Pizza line in the Clearview food court (I had the ‘talk to me’ shirt on). My response was, “Probably not.”
Scene: 1.5 year old black child walking through the mall in her PJs at 2pm. Her elmo slippers are made for a six year old.
adoring fans: “SHE IS SOOO CUTE”
child’s gaurdian: “she sure do walk funny though”
(I am NOT making this up)
Another Target story:
Woman in another line behind me: “If they don’t hurry up and check me out, I’m just walking out of here with all this stuff”
Another woman: “They might arrest you, hun!”
first woman: “They haven’t got me yet!”

There I was standing in Best Buy about to try out the newest craze….Rock Band. If you don’t know…I SUCK at Guitar Hero. I’m terrible. I have twenty years of calluses built up, a guitar collection that is incredible, and amps louder than should be allowed….but I can’t press down the red button in time when I’m supposed to.
People find this fact amazing…and it’s also combined with the question of “Is it like playing the real thing?”
Let me think … NO!
